About the Artist

I am a North Carolina-based observational painter working primarily in oil and watercolor, with a focus on portraiture and plein-air. For me, painting is a dedicated practice of presence—a way to cultivate deep focus, ground myself in the moment, and capture the vibrant life unfolding right in front of me.

Working outdoors demands both strength and peace. Navigating shifting light and the outdoor elements forces me to look closer, translating the complexity of the visual world into a deliberate language of color and edge.

Every subject carries a unique story. In portraiture, I welcome the challenge of capturing people’s true character through the energy of each brushstroke. In the field, it is about distilling the noise of a fleeting moment down to what matters most. Ultimately, painting is my way of sharing that sense of discovery and joy with you.
